Safaricom and PayPal Collaborate to Link Mobile Money with Online Payments

More than 35 million customers and 2 million businesses and micro traders on M-PESA will be able to make and receive seamless fund transfers on PayPal’s global network Nairobi, Kenya : Safaricom (NSE: SCOM), M-PESA and PayPal have announced a strategic collaboration to enable account linking and seamless fund transfers across their networks . This collaboration aims to empower more than 35 million M-PESA customers and two million businesses and micro traders in Kenya to access PayPal’s global network. By first linking their PayPal and M-PESA wallets, users can easily transfer funds from their PayPal accounts into their M-PESA wallets, and vice versa. This service is designed to enhance the experience for customers and businesses transacting between the two platforms. Akena’s unsubstantiated claims that Dennis Enap, Peter Walubiri and others who are challenging his leadership and perpetual grip on the party are proxies of President Museveni merits a response and contextualisation, which is the purpose this opinion piece is designed to serve. Entebbe : The National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) and the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS) of the People’s Republic of China have today signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the China-Uganda Joint Laboratory for Sustainable and High-Efficiency Premium Tea Production. The collaboration penned at the NARO Headquarters in Entebbe with Dr. Yona Baguma signing on behalf of NARO and Dr. Yang Yiyang, for JAAS, will see the establishment of a first-rate laboratory facility at NARO’s Rwebitaba Zonal Agricultural Research and Development Institute in Fort Portal.
