Juliet Zawedde warns of fraudsters using her name to cheat individuals

Social entrepreneur Juliet Zawedde has warned the public against falling victims of fraudsters using her name on social media platforms. While appearing live on her Facebook page, Juliet said a number of people have been scammed using her name which is very bad. Juliet Zawedde is not happy with fraudsters using her name to cheat innocent people “People get Whatsapp numbers of Canada and USA and also open fake Facebook accounts in my name and start soliciting for money from people in the name of bringing them to USA or Canada promising them jobs and citizenship, these are thieves and don’t fall victims, I am not involved in such kind of stuff, I don’t bring people to USA or Canada,” Zawedde said. “I am warning people using my name in fake accounts to scam innocent people to stop, do the right thing,” she added. “I only have two accounts a verified account and a page which has more than 911k followers, the rest there are fake and run by fraudsters,” she said. Court orders Diplomat Bamwine to refund investor after fraudulent land sale

Flamboyant Quillino Bamwine, the honorary counsel to Swaziland in Uganda has lost an appeal to stop paying an investor UGX 270 million after selling the said investor land that doesn’t exist. Court ordered Bamwine to pay the investor in February this year. He appealed and lost. Bamwine took money from a prominent investor by promising to sell him land, which later turned to be hot air. The diplomat was sued following failure to actually honor the terms of his own Undertaking to settle the debt when the deal collapsed. Roke Telkom Extends Support to Children with Cancer in Mbarara City

Mbarara : Roke Telkom, a home-grown telecommunications and cloud solutions providers, has extended material support worth Shs7 million to 18 children living with cancer, at the Bless a Child Foundation in Mbarara City, as part of the company’s Roke Gives Back corporate social responsibility initiative. The company handed over items including; a wheel chair, play materials, kitchen utensils, mattresses and food stuff, among others, during their annual visit to the home. In addition to the material support, The Roke Telkom staff, cleaned, fixed broken windows, faulty electric wiring and prepared lunch for the sick children.
