Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Remote Cloud Security Engineer who is a technical expert working in the Cloud and can lead by example in a large strategic organization. The ideal Remote Cloud Security Engineer must be willing to travel to Raleigh, NC a few times per year.

Responsibilities of the Remote Cloud Security Engineer include:

  • Ability to articulate a vision, lead, influence and guide teams in strategic environments through design, deployment, analysis and troubleshooting of complex networks
  • Frequently assist other Engineer’s with problem resolution
  • Build productive relationships with customers and take ownership for customer success
  • Ability to work freely and thrive in a transformational culture

Requirements for the Remote Cloud Security Engineer include:

  • 2-3 years of AWS experience within security
  • Strong experience implementing NIST 800-52 controls and/or familiarity with NIST 800-171 CUI
  • Solid experience with Splunk data intake
  • CISSP or other cybersecurity related certifications (ex. Security+, CASP, CEH, GIAC, OSCP) required.
  • Must be a US Citizen

Compensation for the Remote Cloud Security Engineer include:

  • Salary Range: $100k – $130k **depending on experience** plus comprehensive benefits package
