Profiling Ashlei Watson who is set to represent Uganda at the Miss Europe Continental 2023 in Italy

Ashlei Watson is an American international motivational speaker, brand spokesperson, author, Poet, model and philanthropist.

Ashlei Watson was also crowned Miss New Jersey Earth 2018, Miss Global Uganda 2021 and in present day she holds the title as Miss Europe Continental Uganda 2023 and due to represent Uganda at the event on 29th November 2023.

Ashlei is passionate change maker and social innovator.

Ashlei’s innate leadership abilities and dedicated focus has helped her launch her very own foundation.

She is the CEO Ashlei watson is the CEO of Ashlei Watson Foundation. Her foundation works to empower women and youth economically, mental health , addressing period poverty and tackling the issue of bullying.

Her mission is to spread love while shedding light on issues that drive social awareness.

Airtel Uganda Pays UGX 50.3 billion Dividend to National Social Security Fund (NSSF)

Kampala : Airtel Uganda, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, on Friday presented a dividend cheque of UGX 50.3 billion to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). This significant payout follows NSSF’s strategic acquisition of shares in Airtel Uganda during the company’s initial public offering (IPO). This payout follows Airtel’s 2023 decision to list in Uganda, becoming the second telecom company on the Uganda Securities Exchange. The company offered 8 billion ordinary shares representing 20% of its equity at UGX 100 per share. While the IPO raised UGX 211.4 billion, below the UGX 800 billion target, it attracted 4,614 new shareholders and marked a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to local ownership and capital market development.
