Kampala Ice Cream And Cake Festival Returns After Three Years Break

All is set for the annual Kampala Ice Cream and Cake Festival. Now in its 4th edition, the festival will take place on May 14 at the Uganda Museum.

It promises to be a fun-filled affair as revelers indulge their palates in the sweet delights for which the festival is known.

 The event which will kick off in the mid-morning will bring together ice cream and cake producers and sellers in one place in a street food style festival offering everything from ice cream bowls, queen cakes, muffins, and ice lollies among others.

Organizers have also revealed that there will be a rich lineup of entertainers that will include DJ sets and artiste performances to keep revelers entertained throughout the day. 

Sensational singers like Winnie Nwagi, Azawi, Vinka, and Zafaran will be the headlining act alongside other musicians among others.

Tickets cost 20K(adults) and 10K (kids).

Airtel Uganda Pays UGX 50.3 billion Dividend to National Social Security Fund (NSSF)

Kampala : Airtel Uganda, a leading provider of telecommunications and mobile money services, on Friday presented a dividend cheque of UGX 50.3 billion to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). This significant payout follows NSSF’s strategic acquisition of shares in Airtel Uganda during the company’s initial public offering (IPO). This payout follows Airtel’s 2023 decision to list in Uganda, becoming the second telecom company on the Uganda Securities Exchange. The company offered 8 billion ordinary shares representing 20% of its equity at UGX 100 per share.
